What CobiT Addresses
Originally developed by the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) and the IT Governance Institute (ITGI) in 1992, CobiT was designed as a set of generally accepted best practices, measures, indicators and processes for IT management.
In its current form, CobiT consists of 34 high-level objectives that span 215 control objectives categorized in the following four domains:
