Capacity Planning
Analyze and Forecast. Upgrade as Needed, when Needed. Save Money.
What is Capacity Planning?
Capacity Planning is the set of services that establishes and maintains performance baselines for the distributed computing environment to project its performance capacity requirements.
Essentially, Capacity Planning is cost-effectively, precisely planning today for tomorrow's resource needs.
Concerned with areas like response time, disk space and human resources, Performance Capacity Planning takes a user-centered view of performance, asking
“How long does it take a user to perform a task?”
as well as a technology-centered view of performance, asking
“How well is the server or network performing?”
Get the Answers to Capacity ‘What if?' Questions
Capacity Planning is a critical component to enterprise network planning. While no one can tell what the future holds, Plexent helps customers predict what is likely to happen and when – at least when it comes to future needs and IT resource capacity.
We help customers not only understand what their existing use and remaining capacity are, but also forecast timeframes and specs needed for upgrades based on forecasts using predictive modeling to develop answers to the infamous “What if?” questions posed by management.
