IT Service Management Salary Survey Results Released

 

Joint Research Conducted by Plexent, itSMF USA, and the Kelley School of Business  

February 15, 2012- Dallas, TX- Plexent announced that it has released the results of the IT Service Management (ITSM) Salary Survey conducted by Plexent, itSMF USA and the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.  The survey reports salaries held in the united states by professionals working in the area of IT service management and IT improvement, utilizing frameworks and best practices such as ITIL®, COBIT®, CMMI and Six Sigma.ITSM Salary Survey (ITIL)

itSMF USA, Plexent and Kelley School of Business came together put the survey together.  For employers filling roles including ITSM-related staff it is currently difficult to determine appropriate salaries for such positions.  This report helps remedy that.

ITSM Scholarship Recipient Announced

 

September 26, 2011 – Dallas, TX – Plexent (http://www.plexent.com) announced today that the recipient for the 2011 $2,000 ITSM Eagle Scholarship is Ms. Niranjani Elango.

Ms. Elango, currently a Graduate Student at Kelley School of Business, serves as the Vice President of Knowledge for itSMF Indiana University’s Student Local Interest Group.   The scholarship will be applied toward her studies of a Master of Science in Information Systems at the University of Indiana’s Kelly School of Business.

Plexent Requests ITSM Salary Survey Participants

 

September 22, 2011 – Dallas, TX – Plexent (http://www.plexent.com) is currently accepting participants for the IT Service Management Salary and Practice Survey conducted by Plexent, Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and itSMF USA.

This is a fully confidential, anonymous, and voluntary survey to determine the compensation of IT service management professionals in various positions and IT service management practices in their organizations.

The results of the survey will be made available to all participants in January 2012. The survey will be conducted annually to determine trends in ITSM compensation.  Reports from this survey will offer detailed information on average salaries and bonuses, by title, industry and other factors.

Plexent Announces ISO/IEC 20000 Readiness Assessor

 

July 7, 2011 – Dallas, T X – Plexent (http://www.plexent.com) today announced the release of its ISO/IEC 20000 Readiness Assessor.

This tool is meant to provide an indicator to you as to how much work may be required to achieve an ISO/IEC 20000 for your organization. Plexent is a consulting firm that provides consulting, readiness and training. Plexent is not an auditor for ISO/IEC 20000.

This assessment is intended to evaluate your current readiness to undergo an ISO/IEC 20000 Certification. These questions align with specific sections of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard.

The report will provide general comments about your readiness for each section and will provide suggested next steps. You'll also notice a "traffic light" indicator for each section which provides a quick indicator of your organizational maturity in each area.

IT Service Management (ITSM) Scholarship Announced

 

April 7, 2011 – Dallas, TX – Plexent (http://www.plexent.com) today announced the annual Eagle ITSM Scholarship.

The annual scholarship, in the amount of $2,000, will be awarded to a student enrolled in a degree program related to the management of information systems.

The Eagle ITSM Scholarship is awarded in the fall for use during the spring semester.  The application deadline is August 1 at 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time each year.  The scholarship recipient will be recognized at the annual itSMF USA Conference, Fusion. The following criteria will be used to assess applications. 

  • Grade point average.
  • Ability to demonstrate a strong commitment to management of IT services.  This may be demonstrated via service in a related job (paid or volunteer), active participation in associated professional organizations, holding office or other leadership in such associations or teaching.
  • Ability to demonstrate involvement in initiatives (paid or volunteer) that assist an organization (potentially an academic institution) apply IT service management related concepts to solve problems such as:
    • Cloud computing readiness
    • Mobile computing
    • Integration of multiple best practices, frameworks and standards
    • Progressive service offerings
  • Involvement in social media via blogging, LinkedIn, Twitter and the like.
