Plexent (http://www.plexent.com) proudly announces that Senior Consultant, Alex Hernandez, received the 'Industry Knowledge Contribution' award from the IT Service Management Forum USA for his work and contribution to the IT Service Management industry.
Alex Hernandez is a Senior Consultant with Plexent and is based in Dallas, Texas. Alex has over 15 years in IT Service Management implementation and training experience at high profile Fortune 500 companies. These multi-million dollar engagements were very large and complex in nature, involving significant leadership, process and organizational expertise. A recognized expert, Alex's involvement in the industry is deep. He serves as a co-lead for the itSMF Certified Partner Network for Academia subcommittee, which is responsible for bringing IT Service Management into academia. He is also part of the EXIN expert workshop panel and is also an examination panelist for APMG, assisting in the review and development of ITIL exam questions.
Alex was instrumental in developing and launching the first MBA and Masters of Science program in the U.S. with a concentration in IT Service Management at the University of Dallas. He currently teaches ITIL accredited courses as an adjunct professor there.
Alex is the co-author of the first self-study book for IT Service Management Foundations based on ITIL, which is being used in the University of Dallas curriculum. Alex has also authored and published one of the first ISO/IEC 20000 implementation books, ISO/IEC 20000 - Rise of a New Service Paradigm (2007).
Alex holds an MBA in IT Management from the University of Dallas; is an ITIL® Expert, Service Manager and Practitioner and is an ISO/IEC 20000 certified consultant.
